Meet the host
Hi, I'm Sara — welcome to We Need to Act
If we haven’t met yet: I’m a sustainability professional, educator, writer, and speaker — and a mom and nature lover first. I hold a PhD in Sustainability Communication, a Master’s in International Relations, and a Master’s in Communication Sciences. My work is driven by a strong commitment to creating meaningful change through dialogue and education.
Three years ago, I launched the We Need to Act podcast to create an inclusive space for dialogue and raise awareness of critical issues — climate change, biodiversity loss, social justice, and human rights.
I’ve also developed educational programmes for children that use gamification to make learning about sustainability engaging, accessible, and impactful.
What we talk about
After many conversations, I understood that our distance from nature is at the root of our inability to act. To restore that connection, we must first understand what led us here — and listen to those who never lost it.
Indigenous peoples have long lived in harmony with nature and all its creatures, in a relationship of respect and reciprocity. We have to listen to them.
Each episode brings together Indigenous leaders, activists, policymakers, authors, academics, and entrepreneurs to explore the crises of our time — and what meaningful action looks like from different places and perspectives.
Want to bring this conversation to your audience?
I’m available for podcast interviews, panels, and speaking engagements.
